Frequently Asked Questions
1. How do we get started?
Within 6 hours we will contact you and request drawing files if you have not provided them in the attached form. After we receive the files, we will send over a proposal to get started on your architectural rendering project!
2. How much will my project cost?
Some businesses will advertise a set price per rendering. This is a poor business model because in most cases that means you are either over-paying or that studio will reduce the quality level of their work to make that price profitable. Every project is unique and deserves individual attention, so we do not have any set pricing structure. Generally speaking, the more information you can provide, the more specific a quote we can offer. For an accurate estimate, we will need to review all relevant drawings (plans, elevations, etc...) and have a definitive scope of work. Please visit the Contact Us page for information on how to contact us.
3. Can I pay after the 3D images are complete?
It is our policy to request 50% payment upfront for rendering services to begin, and the additional 50% before the final rendering is delivered. This is to ensure that our clients provide us with information in a timely manner and that we turn around the 3D visuals quickly for our clients.
4. Do you charge a fee for estimates?
No!
We are happy to review your plans or examine your CAD files.
Please call 404/740-4016 or visit our contact page for information about sending your information to us for a free estimate.
5. Can you quote me a price without seeing my plans?
Not usually. Unless this is a project or you are a client we have prior experience with, we find it is best for everyone involved to see what you’re planning.
If your project is still in the initial stages of planning, or if you’re writing a proposal, a hand-drawn sketch will work.
6. Are changes included in your price quote?
After we make a preliminary draft 3D rendering, we will make adjustments according to your comments in case of need. During this phase, we allow 3 hours of client feedback.
7. Can you send me your files?
This isn’t something we normally do, but we don’t have a problem with it. We have done this for some clients in the past. This is done on a case-by-case basis. If you would like or need the source files, let us know BEFORE we start the project. In most cases, we will need to adjust the project price.
8. Who owns the render after it is complete?
This is a great question. We get it as a question with almost every new client. CGi 3D Technologies owns the render, but the image is licensed to the client upon payment in full. The client may use the image however he or she sees fit. There are no additional costs to change the image. We only ask you credit us if the image is published somewhere outside of your website or future marketing materials. This has never been an issue, but we don’t allow our images to be sold to stock photography sites, like Shutterstock or istockphoto.
9. Who are your regular clients?
We can help Architects, Interior Designers, Real Estate Developers, Contractors, Design Agencies, Brands, Inventors, and anybody really who has an idea and would like to see it made into a reality!
